Kabul (BNA) At least eight fighters of Taliban group were killed during clashes with Afghan security forces in southern Helmand province the night before last.
Ministry of National Defense by releasing a statement issued that the clashes took place, while a group of Taliban fighters stormed on Afghan security forces’ checkpoints in Sangeen district of the province.
Afghan security forces successfully defeat the attack, as a result eight militants were killed, two wounded and five more have captured, the statement added.
Some heavy and light weapons belonged to Taliban fighters have seized by Afghan security forces following the conflicts.
