Putin Likely to Win Russian Presidential Election, Extending Reign

KABUL (BNA): The ongoing presidential elections in Russia have shown that current President Vladimir Putin is in the lead, with only 31 percent of votes cast so far. Initial results indicate that the 71-year-old Putin is likely to secure another term in office, making it his fifth term until 2030.

It is important to note that these elections are also taking place in regions previously part of Ukraine, which have since joined the Russian Federation in the past two years.

If Putin’s victory is confirmed, he will continue to hold the reins of power in the Kremlin for the next decade and maintain his position as the ruler of Russia for a total of three decades.
