Putin to Make First Foreign Trip Since Re-election, Visiting Xi Jinping in Beijing


KABUL(BNA): The Kremlin has announced that Vladimir Putin, the President of Russia, will visit his Chinese counterpart, Xi Jinping, in Beijing this week on May 16th and 17th.

Hua Chunying, spokesperson for the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, further stated that the upcoming meeting between President Putin and President Xi will encompass discussions on strengthening bilateral ties between Russia and China, deepening cooperation across diverse sectors, and jointly addressing international issues of mutual concern.

After being elected as the President of Russia for the fourth time, this will be Putin’s first foreign trip to China, which will last for two days.
