Kabul (BNA) Addressing a joint press conference here in Kabul with head of Azem Publications and the chairman of Afghanistan’s Journalists National Association, Fzel Sancharaki deputy minister of publication for the Ministry of Information and Culture said Copy Right law’s proper implementation to limit the environment for plagiarisms, BNA reported.
The deputy minister asked Azem publications to restart its printing activities, calling plagiarisms and theft of other’s works unethical and against the nature of human morality.
Azem Publication and printing press recently stopped its activities over illegal releasing of Dr. Spanta’s recent book PDF version in social media.
Pointing to shortcomings in Copy Right law, the deputy minister said the law was needed to be revised, asking Azem publication to restart its activities, assuring the issue would be followed through government.
Meanwhile, delivering his remarks, chairman of the Journalists’ National Association said plagiarisms and copying other’s works without permission have affected the printing sector of the country, asking for revision of the Copy Right law.
R. Ajmal Azem head of the Azem publications said his center could publish many medical, journalism and political related books and publications, adding the recent book of Dr. Spanta former security advisor was also published in this center, but its PDF version was illegal distributed through social media which led the center to stop its operation.
He said would restart the activities on the basis of request made by the deputy minister of publication.
