Iranian Investors Show Interest in Urban Development and Housing Sector in Afghanistan


KABUL (BNA) the Ministry of Urban Development and Housing has announced that it has received interest from Iranian investors looking to invest in Afghanistan’s urban development and housing sector.

A meeting was held between Sheikh Hamdullah Nomani, the Acting Minister of Urban Development and Housing, and representatives from the Iranian construction company Sanpo.

During the meeting, officials from Sanpo Construction Company expressed their readiness to invest in housing and urban development projects in Afghanistan, highlighting their extensive experience in similar ventures in various countries.

Sheikh Hamdullah Nomani warmly welcomed the investors and provided them with comprehensive information about investment opportunities in the housing and urban development sector.

The Acting Minister assured the investors that the ministry has laid the groundwork to facilitate both domestic and foreign investors in the housing sector, towns, and urban development across all provinces of the country.

Sanpo Construction Company officials shared their extensive portfolio, highlighting their successful completion of construction projects in various countries such as Oman, Uzbekistan, Iraq, and Iran.

The Ministry of Urban Development and Housing reiterated its commitment to welcoming both domestic and foreign investors, offering favorable conditions and support to those interested in investing in the housing, townships, and urban development sector.

This investment opportunity signifies a positive step towards enhancing bilateral relations between Afghanistan and Iran, while also contributing to the economic growth and development of Afghanistan’s urban areas.
