Vulnerable For Presidential Runoff Identified: Sediqi

Kabul (BNA) While the day for the June 14 presidential runoff between the leading two candidates is getting closer, Interior Ministry reported of putting necessary security measures on the place for the election process in the country.
Addressing a press conference here yesterday, the Interior Ministry spokesman Sediq Sediqi said that the vulnerable areas had been identified and the security forces by launching clearing-up-operations have been trying to ensure security for the second round of the presidential polls. According to Sediqi, since launching the election campaign for the runoff, 75 clearing-up-operations have been conducted in the country leaving more than 100 terrorists dead, 46 others detained and huge quantity of arms and ammunitions including 146 pieces of mines have been captured. Sediqi also noted that clearing-up-operations will continue till the day of the second round of the presidential polls.
