MAIMANA CITY (BNA) Taliban fighters have torched dozens residential houses belonged to civilians in northern Faryab province yesterday.
Spokesman of 209 Shaheen army corps told BNA reporter, Taliban militants after defeat by Afghan security forces, set on fire dozens residential houses in Khawaja Sabz Posh district of the province.
Taliban fighters after sustaining heavy losses in Kata Qashlaq region, Khawaja Sabz Posh district, Faryab province, stormed on residential houses and torched over 30 homes belonged to civilians in the region, the source added.
Reinforcement troops have arrived in Khawaja Sabz Posh district and trying to clean insecure areas of the district from existence of armed oppositions, the source concluded.
