Biometric Registration of Civil Service Employees to Improve Transparency: Minister Safi

Kabul (BNA) Hasina Safi, Acting Minister of Information and Culture, and leading body of the ministry were biometrically registered and included in ‘HR Data System’.
In a ceremony held on this occasion, acting minister of information and culture considered biometric registration process of government civil service employees as a good step, saying that the process was an effective and valuable step toward maintaining transparency and accountability and helping to fight corruption in government institutions.
Acting minister of information and culture said that there were professional and experienced women in provinces of the country, adding that indexes should be considered for women in the system so that experienced and professional women could be employed.
In the program, director of civil services Ahmad Masoud Tokhi spoke elated to Human Resources Management Information System (HRMIS) and said all data of the civil service employees was recorded in the system.
He added that the system has been created based on need of the country’s civil services and public administration and approved by leading body of national unity government, saying that all civil service employees should be registered in the system within one year based on decision of cabinet.
Meanwhile, head of Human Resources Management Information System (HRMIS) Zarghona Aslami asserted that nearly 70,000 civil service employees including teachers, have been registered in Kabul, Nangarhar, Laghman and Kunar so far.
