Three New Radios Inaugurated in Herat Province, Islamic Emirate Emphasizes Media Compliance with Laws

HERAT (BNA) On Monday the province of Herat witnessed the official inauguration of three new radio stations named Hurrit, Omid, and Shariat.

During the ceremony, Mawlavi Hayatullah Muhajer emphasized the positive role of media and acknowledged the impact of media on the improvement of good governance within the Islamic Emirate. He reiterated that the Islamic Emirate supports media outlets whose publications comply with the laws of the Islamic Emirate and serve national interests.

Mawlavi Ahmadullah Muttaqi, the head of information and culture in Herat, emphasized the significance of healthy media in expressing truths and disseminating information within society.

Engineer Mohammad Nabi Qazizada, representative of Radio Shariat, expressed his aim to inform listeners through various programs. The three radios—Hurrit, Omid, and Shariat—will operate 24 hours a day, with their main broadcasts targeting the central part of the country.

These new radio stations commence their activities amid the presence of 28 other audio and visual media outlets currently active in Herat province.

The expansion of media channels in the province reflects the growing importance of providing diverse sources of information and entertainment to the local population.
