Kabul (BNA) President Karzai met US congress representatives led by Mrs. Lina Rouz Letnin. At the meeting held at the presidential palace Sunday, expansion of relations between the two nations, struggle against terrorism, Afghan-US Security agreement, peace process, upcoming elections and regional issues were discussed.
The US congress representatives praised progress in the last decade in education, higher education, health, freedom of speech and democracy under president Karzai leadership and assured him that US would continue long-term assistance and cooperation to Afghanistan.
