Kabul (BNA) Chaired by acting minister of information and culture Prof. Mohammad Rasoul Bawari, the second session of committee on Buddha statues technical repairing was held yesterday.
In the session, head of preservation of historic monuments for information and culture Abdul Ahad Abasi briefed related to previous session’s decisions. Afterwards, acting minister of information and culture said the committee was tasked to prepare technical repairing equipment of the respective statues in accordance to demands of World Heritages Organization and cooperation with UNESCO.
Participants including the UNESCO representative in the session delivered their visions and suggestions in this regard.
The participants also asked that a delegation should be dispatched to Bamyan in order to research in this regard.
