Kabul (BNA) A member of Al-Qaeda killed in the east of the country as by Afghan security forces.
The identity of the person had not clear
A governmental official in Nuristan province said the member of Al-Qaeda with some local commanders of the armed Taliban while organizing a series of terrorist attacks, targeted by Afghan security forces in his hideout and killed.
According to the local officials, the member of Al-Qaeda was a national of Saudi Arabia and was responsible for some terrorist attacks in east of Afghanistan especially in Kunar and Nuristan provinces.
The Kunar and Nuristan provinces in the east of the country witness the activities of terrorist group’s especially the armed Taliban and Al-Qaeda network.
In the past one year, two other members of Al-Qaeda were killed as a result of NATO’s air attack in Nuristan province.
