Propagation For Daesh, Extremism A Crime, House

Kabul (BNA) The controversial assertions of Abdul Hafiz Mansoor in connection with propagation for extremism in universities and mosques of Afghanistan caused the authorities of ministries of information and culture, education and higher education and Hajj and Endowment be summoned in House of People. The Kabul people’s deputy in parliament, Abdul Hafiz Mansoor one month ago criticized on propagation about extremism thoughts in seminaries and universities of Afghanistan and has said that the universities and faculty of theology train terrorists through Islamic culture. He called failed the strategy of counter terrorism in Afghanistan and had asserted that before terrorists be explosive materials and suicide attackers, are enjoying from terrorist and extremism thoughts. Unfortunately, so far, no think has been done for countering with propagation of extremism thoughts in Afghanistan. Mansoor stated. He added that in regard to this, Minister of Hajj and Endowment and deputy ministers of ministries of information and culture, education and higher education were summoned to the parliament for questioning.
One of the agenda that was discussed Saturday in parliament was necessity of revision in the content of lesson of Islamic culture that are taught in the universities of this country. In continuation of his assertions, Mansoor laid emphasize on his previous stance on necessity of counter extremism in the society and hinted to the issues that are taught in universities under the name of Islamic culture. He regarded those samples as indicators for expansion of extremism in the universities. Farah deputy in parliament, Humaira said, some teachers and lecturers transmit their personnel thoughts in the name of Islamic culture to students. Deputy Minister of higher education, Barai Seddiqi accepted existence of some problems in the contents of lessons but he reported about revision on the same. He said that revision must take place as well as a commission would be formed to control the implementation and teaching of Islamic culture. Deputy of higher education ministry added that this ministry is determined to prevent from propagation of thought of extremism and anti-national interests in universities. Heavy crime: some deputies hinting on what was regarded as propagation against system through mosques pulpits and have said that some voices are heard from some mosques of this country against this system and are giving legality to suicide attack.
These deputies demanded from ministry of Hajj and endowment of Afghanistan to focus its attention in the connection and should control over imams’ sermons. Minister of hajj and endowment, Faiz Mohammad Osmani regarded the Ulema of the country as protectors and supporters of the system and laid emphasize on propagation of thought of moderation in the society. Osmani continued that in Pakistan, some centers are established in the name of religious madrassas while these centers are the place for training terrorists and supporting these groups. Osmani regarded Daesh as a dangerous project for Afghanistan and added that this project is a dangerous international one that fighting with this group is impossible only through mosques. He laid emphasize on necessity of serious attention of all institutions and related in-charges for countering with this phenomenon. The speaker of house of people, Abdul Rauf Ibrahimi also said that Daesh, terrorism and extremism has no relation with Islam and every kind of propagation in the benefit of Daesh and extremism is a crime. He wanted from government not to permit the enemies of the country to benefit from present atmosphere of the country for propagation of extremism.
