Acting Agriculture Minister Meets Turkish Experts to Discuss Boosting Agricultural Sector

KABUL (BNA): The Acting Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock, Mawlavi Ataullah Omari, held a productive meeting with key Turkish experts.

The Acting Agriculture Minister, Musa Sardar Celebi, head of the ASAM and Strategic Center and coordinator of humanitarian aid (UKID), and Dr. Bilal Hakimi, program manager of the Ministry of Agriculture’s Development and Cooperation (MDC) in Turkey, engaged in discussions to enhance bilateral cooperation, according to a statement released by the Ministry.

During the meeting, a comprehensive discussion took place on Afghanistan’s agricultural sector. Key topics included potential investment opportunities and strategies for promoting standardization in agriculture, aimed at enhancing productivity and quality.

The meeting was attended by high-ranking officials, including Sayed Hazrat Hashemi, Secretary to the Deputy of the Invitation Commission of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, and Mullah Mohammad Hossain Khorshid, Head of the Office of the Ministry of Agriculture.

The Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Livestock expressed its gratitude to the Turkish experts for their valuable insights and committed to a close collaboration to implement the initiatives discussed during the meeting.
