Deputy PM Baradar Emphasizes Participation of Islamic Emirate Envoys at International Conferences

 

KABUL (BNA): During a meeting with the Deputy Foreign Minister of Qatar, the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs of Afghanistan emphasized that an international conference on Afghanistan would yield no results without a representative from the Islamic Emirate.

The meeting concentrated on strengthening political, economic, and trade relations, with both parties engaging in in-depth discussions and exchanging perspectives on these critical issues.

The Deputy PM Baradar Akhund expressed gratitude for Qatar’s cooperation and emphasized the need to further strengthen bilateral relations. He highlighted investment opportunities in Afghanistan and encouraged Qatari investors to explore various sectors.

In response, the Deputy Foreign Minister of Qatar pledged to encourage their Country’s Investors to invest in Afghanistan and announced that a delegation of Qatari investors will visit Kabul in the near future.

Meanwhile, Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al-Khalifi added that they are closely working with Qatar Airways to initiate and enhance their flights to Afghanistan according to a regular mechanism, aiming to strengthen trade relations between the two countries.

He also emphasized that international meetings would be ineffective without a representative from the Islamic Emirate and confirmed that this stance has been clearly communicated to the United Nations.

In conclusion, Deputy Prime Minister Baradar highlighted that the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan is dedicated to fostering extensive political and economic relations with all countries, adopting a policy of proactive engagement in bilateral interactions.
