Kabul (BNA) Awards for the arts and literary competition winners organized on the anniversary of independence of the country were distributed to their winners in a gathering in Kabul.
Addressing the gathering Dr. Sayed Kakhdoom Raheen Minister of Information and Culture said that the idea behind participation at the competition was only to win the contest. “But I congratulate all those who had attended the contest not only those won the awards.”
Sayed Musaddeq Khalili Deputy Minister of Cultural Affairs said that the competition was organized to honor the high status of artist and literary people.
Mohammad Afsar Rahbin the head of culture and art department said that 157 artists participated the competition and 89 of them succeeded to win the prizes.
Dr. Raheen appreciating holding such competitions distributed the awards to the winners.
