Suicide Attack On Maulana Nazir A fatal Blow On Terrorism

Wednesday, December 05, 2012
Kabul (BNA) Suicide attack on Maulana Nazir one of the Pakistani Taliban leaders who supported the Pakistan government peace plan has caused grave tension in tribal region and divided Pakistani Taliban in to several sections which without doubt clash each other.
According BNA report, early this week, a market in Wana district,  southern Wazrustan where is a part of Pakistan tribal regions was a scene of a suicide attack a man on a bike, exploded explosives carrying in front of Maulana Nazir’s vehicle who headed the Union of Pakistan Mujahideen, (Holy fighters) As a result of the explosion six people were killed and 9 wounded, including Maulana Nazir.
The bodyguards of Maulana are among the dead and wounded people of the incident.
Maulana Nazir is one of the founders of Pakistan Taliban movement but after the assassination of Baitullah Masood the leader of the movement because of differences emerged over the election of the next leader, left the movement and established another group under his leadership called the unity of mujahideen council.
This was the first confrontation of Pakistani Taliban. The Pakistan Taliban movement elected Hakimullah Masood the brother of Baitullah Masood as its leader who accused Pakistan government for the killing of his brother and suppression of Taliban and seriously emphasized on cooperation and coordination among the Taliban and targeted the governments of Afghanistan and Pakistan the same.
While Maulana Nazir backing the peace plans of the Pakistan government considered the Jihad of Pakistan Taliban limited to Afghanistan. Maulana Nazir ethnically supported by Ahamadzai and Wazer tribes living in tribal regions, while Hakimullah belongs to Masood tribe.
Now, these differences and divisions among various Pakistani Taliban groups will have serious consequences and will lead to inner fighting between them which is a fatal blow on terrorism and its supporters.
This process going on among Pakistani Taliban hopefully supports the process of peace in Afghanistan which successfully but gradually in going ahead.
