Print Media In-charge Holds Meeting

Kabul (BNA) Presided by deputy information and culture minister for publication, a meeting was held for consistency between the in-charges of the printed media and promoting the culture of newspaper reading at the office of 8 Am daily on Monday. 
According to BNA, the meeting which was attended by representatives of printed media discussed the coordination among the in-charges of dailies, incomes, distribution of the dailies in all over the country as well as establishing of newspaper’s selling booths, BNA reported.
Simin Hassanzada deputy minister for publication stated that MoIC in coordination with private medias trying to promote the culture of newspaper reading as well as deliver the daily newspapers to all over Afghanistan for their enthusiast readers. Hassanzada promised to make the private newspapers available for their readers through Baihaqi book centers so that help increase the incomes of the private printed Medias.
Eftekhari, spokesperson for MoLSAMD said that his ministry is also ready to help with respect to establishing of newspapers selling booths.
Parwiz Kawah, editor-in-chief of 8 Am daily newspaper talked on behalf of printed media in charges and asked ministry of information and culture to establish the newspaper’s selling booths as well as mechanism for better coordination among the authorities of the printed media where his proposal was accepted by the participants of the meeting.
At the end an agreement was reached to establish a coordination center for selling, distribution and coordination among the government and private media where a committee was also instated to coordinate with respect to establishing of Newspaper’s selling booths.
