Aug 12. Afghanistan Youth Civil Partnership Day Celebrated

Kabul (BNA) Over sixty eight percent of Afghanistan population is under 25 years old and these youth have sustained heavy socio-cultural, economic and political crises as a result of three decades of war and insecurities. Deputy Minister Office of youth affairs at the MoIC believes that role of youth can be valuable and constructive in rebuilding of the country.
The mankind mental capacity and physical power blossoms during juvenescence and reach it summit ultimately. Due to this reason, the developed nations mostly benefitted the youth force towards progress and development. On the occasion of youth national and international day, Aug 12.2015 which concedes Asad 21.1394, an exclusive interview took place with Deputy Minister of MoIC for youth affairs Dr. Kamal Sadat.
Question: Deputy Minister Office for youth affairs has under taken short and long term future plans and codified a national policy. What facilities all these steps provided for improvement and expansion of youth activities?
Answer: DMO of the MoIC has coordinately operating with the department of Relations and Volunteers on youth Safety and learning programs. We have youth departments in some provinces while in some others we have youth sections that represent youth, through which all activities of youth are arranged and organized, according to the plan of action of the first one-hundred days of the MoIC and plan of measures of the DMO for youth.
Fortunately, comparing the previous years, this year everything is going well, because in DMO for youth we have many young, energetic and hardworking heads of branches and departments that all of them have made taintless efforts in the direction of their particular branches.
Talking on their future plans, DM for youth, MoIC said, “Our plans are adaptable with the strategic plans of the GOIRA and the youth national policy has been arranged according to national program and millennium development goals. We have established close cooperation with Ministry of Labor, Social Affairs, Martyrs and Disabled for improvement of youth conditions. We left behind an important and decisive election, voted to enjoy a better change in the country. Youth are the constructive and well growing strata of the country and we don’t want a gap be created between us and our youth. The doors of DMO for youth and all its relevant departments are open to all youth both boys and girls. Our behavior and approach with all youth is in such a way that all youth could refer without any problem to DMO and discuss and settle their problems. The DMO for youth doesn’t want the youth to be disappointed from our office. It’s our job to support them and we are the only ray of hope for today’s and tomorrow’s youth of the country.
Touching the youth health, Deputy Minister for youth said, “Youth have particular medical requirements and medical services should be available to youth. The MoPH cooperates us in the issue. The youth medical rights, reparative reputation mental health should be respected. Ghazali Memorial Curative hospital is available to offer medical insurance and standard medical services for youth with the cooperation of DMO for youth.
Question: DMO for youth signs every year MoU with private higher and semi-higher institutes of educations in the capital and provinces and introduces youths officially to these bodies. Please tell us how many youth are introduced with discount and how many free of charge?
Answer: Over 4500 youth have been introduced to spring semester of private institutes of higher and semi-higher educations with certain discount. Over 150 youth have been introduced to over 20 sport clubs free of charge or with discount. 100 youth who were graduates of high and intermediate schools, were introduced to Kabul Breshna and Ferozkoh institutes. Over 10300 youth both boys and girls were introduced to 26 private higher and semi-higher institutes of education in the capital and provinces with discount of 20,30,40,50 and even 70, 80 and 90 percent.
Question: Aug 12.2015 coincides with international youth day and is celebrated as the youth civil partnership day, what is the role of DMO for youth as supporting body of youth in this day and this direction?
Answer: The International youth day was approved on Aug 12.1998 in Lisbon conference of participant ministers and was named after youth and requested all member countries to support and mark this day. The DMO for youth, MoIC celebrates this day with special arrangement. Celebrate of this day will be appreciation of the youth of the country. The volunteers department and its employees have performed the most activities for preparing of this extraordinary program. We appreciate their efforts.
This extraordinary program will be celebrated under the slogan of “Afghanistan youth civil partnership with the participation of local and foreign guests, government authorities, embassies, NGOs, youth supporting agencies, private bodies, donors printing, audio visual  median men. DMO for youth will distribute letters of appreciation for elite youth in the fields of art, film, cinema, sport, photo, portrait, handicraft etc. Those youth are source of pride and glory for tour country and people.
