Kandahar (BNA) Dozens of Taliban members were killed in the latest fighting and airstrikes in Kandahar.
The incidents took place last night in Arghandab and Khakriz districts when the Taliban wanted to attack military bases.
Senior Atal Corps official in the south of the country told BNA that 53 militants had been killed in the clashes.
Most of these Taliban were targeted in their hideouts just as they were preparing to attack military bases.
Military officials in the south of the country say that several villages in Arghandab and Khakriz have been cleared from armed Taliban during the operation.
