Recent Conflicts Leaves 11 Rebels Dead in S. Afghanistan

Kabul (BNA) As many as 11 armed oppositions lost their lives following clashes with Afghan security forces in southern Kangarhar and Urozgan province.
The conflicts took place last night and this morning in vicinities of Maiwand district, Kandahar and Tarinkot city the provincial capital of Urozgan province.
Senior commander of Afghan national army in the south of the country told BNA reporter, 11 anti-government militias were killed and four others were wounded during the clashes.
The militants have been targeted by Afghan security forces, while they were busy on organizing a series of terrorists and destructive activities in the mentioned areas, the source added.
Some heavy and light weapons belonged to the terrorists have been seized at the end of the struggles.
Military officials claimed that there were no casualties on parts of civilians and Afghan security forces following the battles.
