Laws’ Committee Approves Draft Regulation of Health Employees’ Privileges

Kabul (BNA) Laws committee’s session was held yesterday under the chairmanship of Second Vice President Sarwar Danesh.
At the session, draft regulation for establishment and operations of private mass media were reviewed and discussed.
At the beginning of the session, acting minister of justice briefed related to need for providing, context and expecting results of the draft and said, “Due to the fact that a legal document was not previously existed related to organizing affairs, know-how of establishment and operations of private mass media and system of appointing employees of the private media was not followed according to the laws, providing of the draft has been taken in hand by ministry of information and culture.
According to acting minister of justice, by approving the draft results as supporting the right of speech and thought freedom, legalization of establishment and activities of private media, launching of independent media operations, maintaining of conditions for activities of private mass media and maintaining salaries, financial and spiritual privileges of mass media employees and private organizations would be achieved.
Members of the committee while reviewing and discussing on the draft expressed their views in the connection.
After brief discussion, the committee tasked ministry of justice to carry out further reviews with cooperation of relevant organizations’ representatives for further enrichment of the draft in order to be responsive to needs of the system.
At the session, draft regulation of privileges of those health employees facing with danger was discussed. After briefing of ministries of justice and public health related to need of the draft, members of the committee expressed their views and while tasking ministry of justice related to enshrining of views of the committee’s members, the draft was approved.
