Kabul (BNA) International Women’s Day under tile of “It is time to bring positive changes in villager women’s life” held at the ministry of information and culture, BNA reported on Monday.
Congratulating International Women’s Day to all women and men, acting minister of information and culture Prof. Mohammad Rassoul Bawari said, “Men are sentimental, but the women are more sentimental than men.”
According to psychologists, there are two reasons why the women are more emotional than men, first their position in society and their limitations than men, Prof. Bawari said.
He said women empowerment is more than men, because, when you say a man to take care of a child, he would be bored very soon. But vice versa, a woman takes care of a child for hours and never get tired of it, BNA added.
He added in order the women are known as independent humans, there is a need to fight and resistance, it doesn’t mean to scatter a household, but the children should be educated within families in childhood.
He said there were rumors of violence against women in the ministry of information and culture, but we should understand the different between violence and reformation during work affairs.
“Violence against women is unacceptable in ministry of information and culture,” he went on to say.
Then, the CE’s congratulatory message was read out by an employee of his office, Shamim Azizi as Dr. Abdullah said, “It is impossible to reach sustainable development and prideful society without presence of women in different fields.”
The message added the government of national unity has practically stepped up to ensure social justice and women rights.
Deputy MoIC on finance and tourism affairs, Associate Prof, Sayeda Mojgan Mostafavi while congratulating International Women’s Day said, however, marking this day was symbolic, but it is good to avail this opportunity and get aware of women situation in workplace, society and families.
She added if we talks with different segments, we would see the discrimination rate in non-government organizations’ workplaces has been increased.
Women consist the most hard working segment whom further need government support, she continued.
Likewise, MoIC’s gender department head Mahbouba Saadat congratulated the day to the ministry’s employees and wished success to people of Afghanistan. According to another report, a session of preparation commission to celebrate Nawruz held yesterday, during which the commission’s members presented a report on their functions and preparations in the respect.
