Terrorism Knows No Boundaries, Needed To Be Fought Jointly

Saturday June 10, 2017

Kabul (BNA) A joint global counterterrorism effort is needed to defeat the vicious phenomenon, as it knows no boundaries, religions or tribes.
The recent unforgettable brutal attacks by the malicious elements posed huge fear and dread among the Afghans, as few days before the Kabul incidents, two regions in the United Kingdom have been targeted by the brutal group.
The immense human suffering seen last week in Afghanistan and in the UK, and earlier in other western and European nations, and recently in Iran, clearly highlights the fact that terrorism has no link to religion, recognizes no geographical restriction and neither relates to any tribes.
Not only in Afghanistan, but also in Syria, Yemen, Iraq and other Islamic countries, this idea has now been strongly confirmed that terrorists – Daesh—the so-called Islamic state, Boko Haram, the Taliban, Haqqani network or other similar warring and irreconcilable terrorist groups have no friend in the world, but are only compatible with its own related brutal fighters and similar with the idea of killing and destruction. Sporadic clash between the Taliban and Daesh fighters in Afghanistan and division of the Taliban terrorist group into two parts reveals that they are not ready to be abided by their own introduced Islamic slogans, but only to reach power and torture the innocent people under the falsely interpreted Islamic religion. While, they, by their vicious acts have long distance from the holy Islam and its teachings.
Islam is the religion of peace and reconciliation and wants peace and security worldwide, with all people in the globe, requiring the world nations to live and cooperate with each other like brothers [except those rival groups seeking confrontation against another group, which is ordered by the holy religion to be fought directly]. So, there is no reason to allow the killing of innocent people—Muslim or non-Muslim.
The ideology, under which, the terrorists are living and are employing to, can never adjust to the holy Islam, nor to any of the human rights values.
In two aspects the brutal attacks in Kabul are condemnable: because of shedding innocents’ bloods, which is strongly rejected by Islam and for sowing tension and discord in the Islamic society and Muslim community.
During the hot fasting days, that all Muslim people are banned from water and food, wrathless terrorists, contrary to all Islamic teachings, resort to the killing of innocent fasting people.
Therefore, there is serious need for the world leaders, especially those of the Islamic nations, to join hand and share a common counterterrorism plan to help the world get rid of such miserable life.
Likewise, this is why it is now a time for the Afghan leaders, either within or beyond the government- with the strong support from the international partners to pursue political solution to the insecurity, the war-ravaged nation is still facing.
The country’s leaders and those stakeholders of the national unity government are asked to work for the benefit of the country and the great Afghan people, who have suffered much from the last long years of meaningless conflicts.
Also, such efforts there is a need for regional support to help the country create the space to forge its path for peace and reconciliation. As a regional strong support can help Afghanistan and the countries fighting terrorists distinguish between foe and friend and identify malicious circles and how and where terrorists are receiving support, whether from certain states or individuals. The overnight terrorist attack reminds the victim nations that terrorism knows no boundaries and needed joint efforts to defeat the satanic group. The Kabul Process which has been held the other day is an important marker for all regional countries to show its true support for peace aspirations of the Afghan people and help it reach a lasting peace. The cooperation if the countries with membership to the process would essentially help Afghanistan reach and continue with prosperity and stability.
