Kandahar (BNA) A series of explosions were prevented in Kandahar and Uruzgan.
The security forces discovered and defused 22 mines this morning on busy roads in the two provinces.
Atal Army Corps in south of the country said in a news release that the Taliban had tried to use the landmines to create a series of deadly incidents to civilians and cause fear among the people, but not succeeded to their evil goals.
The corps said the villagers cooperated with security forces in discovering the mines.
Taliban mostly plant bombs and mines on busy roads that victimized innocent civilians.
