More Troops to be sent to Azra district

Kabul (BNA) spokesperson of Interior Ministry at a joint press conference with his ISAF and NATO counterparts said that to ensure the security of Azra district, additional police forces will be deployed there.
According to the security authorities the mopping up operation in Azra is ending successfully and that the Taliban were using this area as a center for threatening its surrounding regions.
The spokesperson stressed further that after three phases of the operation now the area is under the complete control of government and the mopping up operations and clearing the area from unexploded materials and mines remaining from the enemy is being continuing.
He added that the ministry intends to send additional police forces to the area.
Meanwhile, the ISAF and NATO civil spokespersons praising the security forces, said that Afghan security forces once again proved that they can speedily act against the enemies, adding that the operations fully led by the Afghan security forces.
They emphasized that they are ready for cooperation with the Afghan security foundations, stressing that they only play the supporting role with Afghan forces.
