KABUL (BNA): During a meeting with the European Union ambassador, Afghanistan’s Acting Interior Minister, Kalifa Sirajuddin Haqqani, stated that after decades of instability and challenges, the country is rapidly advancing toward political and economic stability.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Interior, Acting Minister Sirajuddin Haqqani met with Ms. Raffaella Iodice, the European Union representative to Afghanistan.
During the discussion, the EU envoy praised Afghan peace efforts and highlighted the impending international conference on Afghanistan in Doha, Qatar.
She emphasized humanitarian aid, including cooperation with earthquake victims in Herat and the return of Afghan refugees.
According to Acting Internior Minister Sirajuddin Haqqani, Afghanistan is making rapid progress toward political and economic stability after years of turmoil and challenges in the country.
Regarding interaction with foreign countries, the Minister of Interior mentioned, the Afghan government should secure its membership in crucial international bodies, allowing Afghans to have genuine representation, facilitating the resolution of issues.
