Afghanistan Reports 346 new COVID-19 Cases

Kabul (BNA) The Ministry of Public Health reported 346 new positive cases of COVID-19 from 893 samples tested in the last 24 hours.
The ministry also reported two new deaths from COVID-19 as well as 302 recoveries. With this, the cumulative number of cases is 27,878, with total recoveries at 7,692 and 548 total deaths nationwide.
Kabul was on the top of the list with 231 cases followed by Kandahar (25), Paktia (25), Bamiyan (19), Helmand (9), Uruzgan (6), Kunduz (6), Takhar (5), Zabul (4), Nuristan (2) and Nangarhar (1). But no tests were conducted in Herat and Balkh due to a lack of testing kits.
The two provinces are the main cities after Kabul with the highest number of confirmed cases of the coronavirus.
The two deaths were reported in Helmand province. No deaths were reported in other provinces in the last 24 hours.
The recoveries were reported in Kabul (260), Kunar (17), Helmand (14), Zabul (10), and Ghazni (1). So far, 62,492 samples have been tested and there are 19,368 active cases countrywide, according to the ministry.
