Kabul (BNA) Including a Iranian resident 34 narcotic drug smugglers were arrested by Afghan National Police personnel in center and provinces of the country.
Khalid Ahmad Mohad spokesman of justice center for counter-narcotic drug told BNA reporter, the smugglers within the last one week were detained by police personnel in Kabul, Jawzjan, Kunduz, Baghlan, Nimroz, Takhar, Badakhshan, Helmand, Herat and Nangarhar provinces.
138 kg heroin, 458 kg opium, 541 kg hashish, 188 liters acid, 494 liters alcoholic beverage, 38 telephones, 11 vehicles, 5000 Afs cash, 3980 USD, 16000 Pakisani rupees, 50000 Indian rupees and 616000 Iranian toman have been discovered and seized from the arrested smugglers.
Also, during this time four narcotic drug smugglers have been sentenced to jail by appeal court of counter-narcotic drug center.
