Kabul (BNA) The National Directorate of Security (NDS) Afghanistan’s intelligence agency has foiled plot to assassinate the preacher of the grand mosque of eastern Laghman province.
NDS has arrested a terrorist identified as Haji Mohammad S/O Atta Mohammad red handed with a pistol who intended to kill Rohullah Fayaz in Mehtarlam, the provincial capital of Laghman province. According to a statement issued by NDS on Sunday, Haji Mohammad had a criminal background from before. The statement hints three attacks in which Haji Mohammad participated that includes attack on a convoy of Afghan National Army (ANA) on Alishing-Mehtarlam road, attack on ANA in Qalatak Area and planting landmines in Baghil area of Alishing District.
Another press release from the spy agency states that a weapons depot belonging to terrorists has been discovered in Baraki Barak District of Logar province.
