Kabul (BNA) Two Afghan National Army soldiers martyred and sixteen others injured in several mine explosions in the country, the National Defense Ministry press office said.
The defense ministry press office sending a press statement to BNA said, explosion of several mines in Kunar, Paktia, Baghlan and Helmand provinces martyred two ANA soldiers and injured sixteen others.
These events occurred while the ANA soldiers discovered at least 21 mines in Panjwaee district of Kandahar and Sharan of Paktia which prevented several terrorists’ events.
The source said, the ANA soldiers carried out a number of clearing up operations in Panjwaee district, Kandahar, Shendand district of Herat, and Nawa district of Helmand provinces in which two motorbikes and a number of weaponries have been seized.
The National Defense Ministry reported the martyrdom of two ANA soldiers while the attacks of armed Taliban increased 40% on these forces then the last year.
