4 local commander of Taliban killed in Herat

Herat (BNA) four local commander of Taliban with their six followers were killed in combined operation of Afghan and NATO forces.  The names of these commanders are Mullah Abdul Razaq, Mullah Ahmad, Mullah Ferooz and Mullah Rahmat.  It is said that in this operation, eight other fighters of Taliban were wounded.  This operation started since days back on hideouts of rebels in the outskirts of Shindand district.  Noor Khan Nikzad spokesman of police in Herat said to BNA, in this operation 4 local commanders of Taliban with their 6 followers were killed and 8 others were wounded.  According to him, the Afghan forces cleaned several areas from presence of Taliban rebels.  Nikzad said nothing about casualties of Afghan and civilians in this operation.  According to reports, tens of heavy and light arms of Taliban were seized by Afghan forces.
