Jalalabad (BNA) 341 different types of weapons have been submitted to Disbandment of Illegal Armed Group (DIAG) program in Nangarhar province.
Col. Fazul Ahmad Shirzad police chief of Nangarhar told BNA, the submitted weapons includes, 2 rocket launchers, 91 round of Kalashnikovs, 220 round of pistols, 2 cameras, some heavy and light weapons, war equipment and military ammunitions.
The mentioned weapons have been collected in 172 clearing operations led by Afghan security forces in various parts of Nangarhar province and more than 1000 insurgents were killed, 270 wounded and 500 other militants have arrested following the operations as well.
