Italian Forces Handed Over Their Military Base To Afghan Forces

Kabul (BNA) Italian forces handed over their military base to Afghan troops in Farah province yesterday.
BNA correspondent reported from Farah province, a function was held with participation of officials and chairmen of state offices and officials of foreign forces in that province, Mohammad Omar Sherzad governor of Farah expressed thanks from cooperation of PRT who were cooperated in ensuring peace and construction of projects in Farah province.
Sherzaid claimed that currently, the Afghan forces have the capability to ensure security and launch combat operation independently in the province.
He said, the Afghan forces recently have active role in destroying of Taliban hideouts in different regions of that province and inflected heavy damages and casualties to the enemies of our homeland.
Later on, the responsible of PRT of Farah expressed pleasure from cooperation of people of that province in implementation of projects with PRT.
He promised to continue his country’s cooperation to Afghanistan after 2014.
In the end of the function, the military base of coalition forces and PRT of Farah formally handed over to Afghan forces.
