Qalat (BNA) Eighteen Taliban rebels were killed in latest air and ground raids of Afghan Security Forces in Zabul last night.
The raids carried out on Taliban rally in two regions and suburb of Qalat city.
The Taliban wanted to target several checkpoint of security troops that suppressed by Afghan security forces and killed.
Atal army corps media office in south of country with releasing a statement said, eighteen Taliban rebels including two local commanders of them were killed in the raids.
Another report says, police of Zabul discovered and confiscated 15 mines from crowded ways of the province and prevented from a series of deadly blast.
No one has been detained in connection of the failed mine planting.
