Russian Ministry of Defense Claims Capture of 12 Towns in Kharkiv Region, Ukraine


KABUL (BNA): Amid escalating tensions, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced on Friday that it had captured 12 towns within the Kharkiv region of Ukraine over the past week.

President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine responded to the news by accusing Russian forces of inflicting destruction upon Kharkiv and causing civilian casualties.

The city of Kharkiv, which has now become the focal point of recent hostilities, holds immense significance as the second-largest city in Ukraine. The capture of the 12 towns within the Kharkiv region marks a notable achievement for the Russian forces and further intensifies the ongoing conflict in the region.
