Likewise, the commando forces have conducted eighteen operations in fifteen provinces of the country which resulted to kill and injure a number of the Taliban leaders and members, Dawlat Waziri went on to say. The ANSF are ready to defend the territorial integrity up to the last drop of their blood and they won’t spare any effort to protect the people, MoD spokesperson said. One of the main factors behind increasing ANSF capability is the people cooperation with them, because without cooperation of the people the ANSF cannot be successful, he added. Appreciating the commando forces ability, MoD assured the people of Afghanistan on ensuring security. The ministry also said that the insurgents have weakened and are not able to fight with Afghan security forces anymore, and since the Special Forces have got the responsibility of special operations, they obtained considerable achievements in this regard. Calling role of air strikes in suppressing the insurgents effective, Dawlat Waziri stressed that considering the Afghan security forces capability, the air strikes are the main supporting factor to the ground forces. The commando forces are now capable enough to ensure security of the country by their own as-they recently attained considerable achievements in the respect.
