Kabul (BNA) President Mohammad Ashraf Ghani has termed the assassination of Mawlawi Ghulam Jilani in Ghazni as coward act of terrorism and condemned it in its strongest term.
In his condolence message, the president described the late Mawlawi Jilani as great religious scholar and lauded his services to the people. Taliban should understand that they can’t achieve their malicious objectives by targeting Afghan people especially the religious personalities, the president said in his message. The president also expressed sympathy with the family of late Mawlawi Jilani, and wishing eternal peace for the departed soul.
