Over 100 Militants Killed Throughout the Country: MoD

Kabul (BNA) Approximately 110 armed oppositions were killed following mopping-up operations launched by Afghan security forces throughout the country.
Ministry of Defense (MoD) press office stated BNA, the operations were conducted aiming to annihilate Taliban militants and protect civilians’ lives and property in different parts of Nooristan, Kapisa, Laghman, Kunar, Maidan/Wardak, Urozgan, Zabul, Herat, Paktia, Paktika, Logar, Kunduz, Takhar, Faryab, Ghor and Helmand provinces, in which 110 insurgents were killed and 66 others militants were wounded.
During the clearance operations several villages have been clean-up from existence of Taliban rebels, the source added.
Some heavy and light weapons, ammunitions, war equipment, military mobilizations and several rounds of mines have been discovered and by Afghan security forces following the operations too, the source concluded.
