Kabul (BNA) The security forces in the last 24 hours conducting a series of clearing operations in the provinces of the country killed five armed rebels.
Interior ministry press office said BNA, the security troops conducting a series of cleansing operations in the outskirts of Baghlan, Kandahar, Balkh, Maidan-Wardak and Farah provinces. Killed five rebels, wounded three and arrested nine others. A quantity of heavy and light weapons was seized.
Also the national police forces discovered and defused 15 mines which were recently planted by armed insurgents in relevant areas of Kandahar, Urozgan, Paktia, Farah and Herat provinces. T. Suraya-Yarzada
