Kabul (BNA) Acting Minister of Information and Culture, Mohammad Tahir Zuhair met with Egyptian Ambassador to Afghanistan in his office yesterday and both sides discussed bilateral cultural cooperation, Bakhtar Information Agency added.
During the meeting, minister Zuhair, as quoted by the agency, recalled the historic relations between the two countries, adding that Afghanistan and Egypt having several cultural and historical monuments and that Egypt enjoy enough experiences in this sphere.
Emphasizing on bilateral cultural relations between the two countries, minister Zuhair asked Egypt’s cooperation in different areas, including capacity building in restoration of the historical monuments and relics, film and drama, journalism and holding of joint book exhibitions, seminars and cultural weeks.
Hinting at his country’s willingness for expansion of cultural relation with Afghanistan, the Egyptian Ambassador assured of his country’s cooperation in the mentioned areas, the agency added.
