Herat (BNA) Eighteen people were arrested in Herat on suspicion of involvement in criminal offenses.
They are accused of theft, robbery, drug trafficking and illegal weapons surveillance.
The Herat police press office said in a statement that the men were arrested overnight during operations and during a search of vehicles in the city and a number of districts in Herat.
Police say detainee cases will soon be sent to the judiciary.
