In Logar Hundreds of Needy Families Received Aid

Paul Alam (BNA) the Afghan Red Crescent Society, in cooperation with Turkish Red Crescent Society of Logar, distributed foodstuffs to 500 needy families in the Mohammad Agha district of the province today.

Mawlawi Nusratullah Nusrat, head of Afghan Red Crescent Society in Logar thanked the Turkish Red Crescent for its assistance, adding that the aid included flour, oil and winter clothes, which were distributed to 500 needy families in the province.
Mawlawi Elias Khel Naseri, head of the Southern Zone, told BNA that so far, in cooperation with the Turkish Red Crescent, they have twice distributed food and clothing to hundreds of needy families.
In another news, the Omeh Charitable Foundation aided 150 students at Logar schools and orphanages.
Shahpour Arab, a spokesman for the Logar Department of Education, told BNA that the assistance included school supplies and clothing.
Mawlawi Janat Gol, director of education in Logar, thanked the Omeh charity and said that the department was working to provide more educational opportunities for orphans and needy.
