Badakhshan (BNA) Armed Taliban insurgents killed governor of Sheghnan district of Badakhshan province yesterday.
This event occurred when a group of armed Taliban attacked on caravan of Safatullah Sadiqi on the way of Shaghnan-Faizabad road.
Eyewitness said that after this attack, Taliban fired on the governor of Sheghnan.
Eyewitnesses said that in this attack of insurgents, five policemen who were guards of this governor were killed.
It is said that governor of Sheghnan was going to Faizabad center of Badakhshan province and was came under attack of insurgents and martyred.
Meanwhile the local authorities said that they started investigation for arresting of culprits of this event.
