War In Afghanistan Not Justifiable: OIC President

Tuesday, February 03, 2015
Kabul (BNA) The president of Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) has said that war in Afghanistan is not justifiable, BNA reported.
The OIC chief who visited Afghanistan recently has termed the war in Afghanistan unjustifiable and said anyone terms war in Afghanistan as Islamic has to rethink. He made the remarks while certain religious circles in Pakistan term the war in Afghanistan as Jihad and encourage students of religious schools to fight in Afghanistan and conduct suicide attacks there.
Those madrassas or religious schools financed by extremist circles in the Persian Gulf countries have been supporting extremism and terrorist attacks in Afghanistan.
The people of Afghanistan are Muslims, believe in Quran, in Islamic teachings and values which forbidden suicide attacks and killing innocent people.
However, some so-called religious scholars in Afghanistan’s neighboring country issue religious decree in killing Afghans by any means including suicide bombings. Previously the great mufti of Saudi Arabia and Al-Azhar University of Egypt has denounced terrorist attacks and Taliban-led militancy in Afghanistan as against Islamic teachings.
