So-Called Governor of Narkh District Kills

Maidan-Shaher (BNA) So-called governor of the Taliban for Nerkh district of Maidan-Wardak province was killed by Afghan and foreign troops the night before last.
Ataullah Khogyani, spokesman of Maidan-Wardak governor said the so-called governor of the Taliban for Nerkh district was killed in a joint operation conducted by Afghan and foreign troops in Chaghra village of the mentioned district.
According to another report, two public security guards were martyred and four others wounded in a clash with Taliban in Maidan-Wardak province.
The clash occurred when armed Taliban attacked on convoy of NATO troops in the Salar area, Sayeedabad district, in which two policemen were martyred and four others wounded.
The source added, Taliban have sustained heavy casualties in the clash.
According to another report, a commander of the Taliban was killed in an operation of national army troops in the east of Gozara district of Herat province the night before last.
An official of national army commando forces said, the Afghan troops and civilians sustained no harm in the operation.  T. Suraya-Yarzada
