Kabul (BNA) Afghan security forces succeeded to discover and defuse 49 round of different type of mines from crowded areas of southern provinces.
The mines had been planted by enemies of the country in different parts of Zabul, Kandahar, Urozgan and Helmand provinces.
Senior commander of Afghan security forces in the south of the country told BNA, Taliban militants by planting the mines wanted to carry out bloodiest incidents on innocent civilians, but fortunately the mines have been discovered by Afghan security forces and deadly incidents have been prevented.
No one was arrested accused of failed mine planting.
