Pul-e-Alam City (BNA) A huge weapon cache have been discovered and hundreds kg explosive materials have been seized during a joint military operation in central Loger province yesterday.
Shah Poor Arab spokesman of police chief in Logar told BNA correspondent, the joint military operation has conducted by Afghan national police and National Directorate Security (NDS) personnel on hideouts of Omari, Ahmadyar, Mullah Adam Kochi and Qari Safiullah commanders of Taliban militants in Kabul-Logar highway, Khoshi district and Pul-e-Alam city the provincial capital of the province.
Afghan security forces succeeded to discover and seize 570 kg explosive materials, a weapon cache that include hundreds bullet of heavy and light weapons, military and communications tools belonged to Taliban, a PK-machine gun, three RPG-racket launchers, Kalashnikovs, mortar shells and six round of different type of mines during the operation.
Taliban militants by using the weapons and materials carried out terrorists activities and were harassing people in Kabul-Logar highway.
