Deputy PM Declares Era of Jihad Over, Calls for Protection and Strengthening of the Islamic System

KABUL (BNA): Mawlavi Abdul Kabir, Deputy Prime Minister in Political Affairs, addressed the graduates of Darul Aman Muhammadiyah Darul Uloom on Friday. He emphasized that after faith, acquiring religious education is the greatest virtue.

He urged the newly graduated scholars to disseminate religious education among other citizens, fulfilling their responsibility. He expressed his joy that the graduates are stepping into a world where the occupation of their country has ended.

He reminded them that they are now the pillars of service for preserving their faith and serving the people under the rule of the Islamic system.

Mawlavi Kabir declared that the era of Jihad has concluded and the current focus should be on protecting and strengthening the Islamic system.

He encouraged the graduates to serve in civil, military, or teaching roles to safeguard the Islamic system and urged them not to hesitate in their service.

The Deputy PM highlighted the role of scholars in the Afghan nation and how their presence and the nation’s Islamic pride led the people to support the Mujahideen instead of standing by the occupation.

He commemorated the day (February 15) when the Soviet forces were defeated and driven out of Afghanistan. He added the defeat of NATO and America marking the victory of another era of Jihad for Afghans.

Mawlavi Kabir stated that such incidents provide invaluable lessons to future generations about freedom, independence, and the implementation of Islamic Sharia.

He noted the key difference between the recent and previous occupations is that post the withdrawal of NATO and America, an Islamic system has been established in Afghanistan that enjoys the full support of the people.
