Chinese Foreign Minister Calls for Global Conference on Gaza Conflict, Criticizes US Sanctions

KABUL (BNA): Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi expressed deep concern during his annul reports over the ongoing conflict in Gaza and urged for a global conference to address the escalating situation.

Wang Yi labeled the conflict as a disgrace to human civilization and called for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, emphasizing the need to protect the lives and well-being of civilians caught in the crossfire.

During his speech, Wang Yi also advocated for the full membership of Palestine in the United Nations, highlighting China’s support for the Palestinian cause and their right to self-determination.

The Chinese Foreign Minister emphasized the importance of a peaceful resolution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and reiterated China’s commitment to promoting stability and dialogue in the region.

In addition to addressing the Gaza conflict, Wang Yi criticized the extension of unilateral sanctions by the United States against China. He stated that America’s misperceptions of China persist and that Washington’s promises remain unfulfilled.

Wang Yi accused the U.S. of employing new methods to suppress China and adding to its unilateral sanctions list on a daily basis.

Wang Yi’s address at the National People’s Congress underscores China’s commitment to global stability, its concern for the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, and its determination to address the challenges posed by unilateral sanctions.

The call for a global conference on the Gaza conflict signals China’s willingness to play an active role in seeking a peaceful resolution to the long-standing Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
